CMS has just announced to the ESRD Networks the decommission timeline for our current database. Dialysis facilities only should stop sending any and all patient data to the Network. Transplant facilities should continue to send patient data to the Network.
Special note to Veterans Administration dialysis units – usage of CROWNWeb is voluntary, but encouraged. If you chose not to use CROWNWeb, please continue to send your patient data to the Network as usual.
Starting today Security Officials and End User Managers can now apply at the same time as long as you follow the revised Step 1 instructions. If it has been over 30 days since you sent your application to the help desk, please contact them immediately at 1-866-288-8912 opt 4 and ask them if they have it, and if not what steps they want you to take.
LIVE Recordings of 2012 Disaster/Emergency Planning Panel Sessions
During the 2012 Heartland Kidney Pre-Conference Workshop, Heartland Kidney Network collaborated with the Kidney Community Emergency Response Coalition (KCER) to create two valuable panel presentations so attendees could gain knowledge straight from the experts regarding disaster and emergency planning. Due to the popularity of these sessions, Heartland Kidney Network is making them available to the entire renal community. Please note: no CE credits will be distributed for watching the live recordings of these presentations.

To help promote a culture of patient safety, the Network has implemented the voluntary 5 Diamond Patient Safety Program. The 5 Diamond program is described in detail on page 10 of our latest Staff Newsletter. Tools and training information are available by clicking on 5 Diamond.
In an effort to better serve you and protect the environment Heartland Kidney Network has moved away from fax blasts and print mailings as much as possible. In the past our fax blasts were limited to facilities, but with our new Email Communications System, anyone, anywhere can sign up to receive timely communications via email. We offer an E-Newsletter containing links to the latest Staff or Patient Newsletters, Quality Improvement and Patient Interest articles, FDA Alerts, the latest CROWNWeb developments and much more.
Join now to ensure that you don't miss important news and updates from the Network by clicking Email Communications or by clicking on the "Subscribe to Email Lists" link at the left side of the page.
